Delaware Bay 2016

Every year for the last 23 years a team of scientists has studied shorebirds and horseshoe crabs of Delaware Bay. We trap and monitor shorebirds and do studies to try and improve their condition. In 2016 NJ DEP unleashed oyster aquaculture on the bay without environmental review for impacts.  Several new aquaculture sites threaten good crabs spawning areas and no law to protect them.
